Hello - Clean and Simple

Hi everyone and welcome back to our crafty space.
Raluca here with a new card showcasing the beautiful "Boxes" stencil.

Did you know that there is an entire section full of fun stencils in the Create a Smile shop? I just love Christine's stencils! Her designs are so beautiful and easy to play with. And they always add so much to a card.

On our "Create a Smile Friends & Family" Facebook Group we have a monthly challenge and for this month the theme is "Clean and Simple" so I decided to create a card inspired by this challenge. Plus a clean and simple card is perfect for a masculine one ;)

* First I die cut a white panel using the largest stitched rectangle.
* Next I masked my panel using masking paper leaving just some white space for my stenciling.
* I taped down the stencil and ink blended some Memento Dew Drop Inks and added some white splatters.
* After I removed the stencil and the masking paper the reveal was absolutely gorgeous. Is so awesome to see the result.
* Next I stamped a sentiment on top of the stenciled portion and I added some enamel arrows.
* I glued the panel on a card base and my card was done.
Super quick, super easy with a striking result and a masculine look.

Thanks......

Hi it's Anja here with another card for you today.

I don't know about you but I am addicted to challenge blogs. I love all the sketches and challenges that are out ther,  they make me think outside the box. So for today's card I used our own challenge over at our Facebook group.
The challenge is make a Clean and Simple card.

I used a topfolded white cardbase and stamped the hearts in the middle of the card.
I masked them and sponged a background with the stencil.
I colored the hearts in rainbowcolors and diecut the solid thanks die. Diecut it once again out of balck cardstock and placed it back using the inlaid technique. Diecut the lined thanksdie out of white paper and adhered it to the black word.

Stamps;

Color your heart out

Cool cuts ( dies)

Thanks twice.

Stencil;

There are so many great challengeblogs out there and they are perfect if you want to create something out of the box or if you lack mojo. Just look around and you will be amazed.

We love to see what youy all create and make sure to join in the fun over at our Facebook group; Create a smile Friends & family.

Have a great week;

Sending Hugs From Mr Bear

Hii!! I hope you had a great week and ready for my new card today.
I was looking through my stash of stuff and I found old Zing embossing powders and I don't think I've ever used them or maybe just a couple of times. So, I thought of making use of it today.

Do you have anything in your stash that you've hardly use?

I've started of my embossing the rays using the Focal Point stencil. Since I wanted to emboss it with two colours, I've used the VersaMark pen so that I can emboss half of it first and then fill in the rest with the Zing copper embossing powder.

When that's done, I went to colouring in the cute bear from the Bear Mail stamp set with Distress Ink Markers. As I wanted the sentiment to go across of the bear, I've stamped an envelope image to stick over the bear and have the sentiment below it.

To add embellishment details to the card, I've splattered white paint on the card to match the little white border and of course, I had to add on some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as well.

((VIDEO)) Valentine Window Card

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess and today I have two carda and a video with a Valentine theme using the Lovely Critters stamp set and Big Hearts Polka stencil.

My sister suggested making a window card with the Kat Scrappiness heart dies that I recently received and I thought that idea paired perfectly with the Lovely Critters set from Create a Smile.

I started by making a more interesting background by layering the Big Hearts Polka stencil to create some custom patterned paper. Then I colored up all the Lovely Critters. This turned out to be a great idea because I was able to create a bonus card with the leftovers and extra critters. You can get more details in the video:

You can use the 'scraps' from the window cut outs to create a whole second card.

It Dawns on Me Card!

Hi there!
Samantha here today, and I'm sharing a card with a night sky! :)

I am in LOVE with this sweet, encouraging set. And the mason jar lamps are SO cute!! I had to make them shine!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp and color your image! I colored my image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers!
- once they're dry, fussy cut out!
- add a thin layer of glitter to the edges of your jars (I used Stickles!)

- get ready to ink blend your heart out! Ha! I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feather Distress Inks for the sky. And Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed for the light! - then I splattered some water and ink color on top of the ink blending!
- I heat embossed the sentiment in black
- lastly, I added some foam tape to the jars for some dimension!

You could easily make this a one layer card! Instead of stamping and fussy cutting out the mason jar lamps, you could stamp them directly on the card and mask them off! Easy!

I used the super pretty and delicate Lights On stamp set!

clean and simple baby card

Hello crafty people, Nicole here.

Have you seen the news?! We have a fun challenge going on on our Facebook group! And the topic inspired me to make this "clean and simple" card.

  1. stamp your image, color it and cut it out
  2. create a simple background using Distress Inks and a blending tool. I created my owl stencil with some Sticky Notes
  3. stamp your sentiment using a matching ink color
  4. add your image to your panel with some foam tape
  5. since I really wanted my card to be very clean and simple, I just added some Glossy Accents on the little heart and nothing else

Chose one fun image as your focal point and leave the rest quite simple. This really makes your critter the star of your card and creates this "clean and simple" look.
